Club Penguin 3D (CP3D) is a game which is inspired by the game "Club Penguin", which Disney closed in 2017. Club Penguin 3D started off as a fan project named "Club Penguin 2". The only people who were working on this project were Andriy and WilliamAfton.
The game was originally just 2D Club Penguin, but with a 3D modeled island.
Andriy then posted a post on reddit. with a Discord link for the Original Club Penguin 3D Discord.
Nep, being the first one to join, and get Moderator. Some special people who originally joined the server still have access to it.
The CP3D owners also conducted a poll asking 89 Club Penguin Classic players if they would like to see a game like CP3D should happen, but only 66.29% voted "Yes".
The Discord was up and running. The owners then decided to make a Second Discord server, which is now shrouded in mystery, due to nobody, apart from the owners, having access to it.
The second Discord server revealed many things such as concepts for the Plaza, Ski Hill, and even a poll on which model of penguin to use; WilliamAftons model or a Club Penguin Game Day Model. Surprisingly, the Game Day model won, but the staff couldn't import it correctly, leading to the original model being used, which in the long run was better.
The staff eventually needed a more strictly moderated discord, leading to the creation of the 3rd Discord. This discord is now home to the CP3D community.
The 2 minigames that are currently almost finished are: Cart Surfer 3D and Card Jitsu 3D. No one apart from Staff have access to these minigames.
