Blablaland is a french virtual world designed for teenagers, developed by Niveau99.
The main feature of the site is the chat, the users move their avatars (called blablas) in a two-dimensional world, but especially to chat live.
The site also has a blog/forum.
The game reached 900,000 users in March 2012. It is the 53,000th most visited site in France.
In September 2004 it has about thirty different maps.
In 2006, the developers of the site decided to create a new version of the site. They imagine a first version (called Version 2 Beta). It is finally abandoned but facilitates the creation of the new version.
After the release of version 2 in 2008, the old version is renamed Version 1 .
On August 8, 2012, the first mini blablaland game with prizes to win is set up:
The Pyramid Game Huybit III. This one is a platform game (ex: Super Mario Bros) and that is to cross a sufficient number of map to access the Sarcophagus. Once arrived, either you win the jackpot by having achieved a record time, or a small amount of chips.
The chat is divided into three worlds allowing different access to the chat: Origin , Legend and Fury Tournament . Their only difference, apart from access to the chat, is the color of the sky.
Paradise brings together 8 maps, linked together. They are represented at the top of the map.
Paradise is accessible in different ways. But the only way to access it voluntarily is to type "/ paradise" on the chat.
No Man's Land is a deserted map, which only some moderators can have direct access, is used only exceptionally.
The name of this map is often confused with the English name of inspiration of this name: No Man's Land , the blablas nickname this map NML.
The prison is used to punish users. It is a special map because it is impossible to get out after returning, meet and interact with other users.
The moderators have the mission to send users on this map when they get banned. They also control the time spent by the user in prison.
It is also possible to access it yourself by typing "/ prison" on the chat. In this case, the user stays in jail for one minute, but can not change that duration.
The blablateurs are normal users, each has a rank that varies according to the experience point (total time spent on the chat).
The two lowest grades are Tourist and Blabl'Anonymous.
Each blabla has a character, as well as different powers or smileys. You unlock this when you buy powers or smileys with virtual currency: the Blabillons (BBL).
The mods are all equal and cooperate together to accompany and help the blablas.
In April 2013 Didier Agani released one of the most anticipated skins of blablaland, no. 400.
